Hello There,
Thank you for taking the time to join us here at Jesus To The Core Missions. It is my desire that you prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.
Today, it is pressing upon my heart to share with you a dream that God showed me. On December 6, 2020, I had two visions. In the first vision, I saw a man that I used to work with. This particular man is known for committing adultery, and he has a reputation for paying women to have sexual intercourse. In the dream, I saw this particular man on a church platform, and he was singing. He was singing with all of his heart while beating a set of drums, and there was another man who I perceived to be his brother singing and playing right along with him. Immediately after that I saw a dream of two men running a race. I was one of the two men that were running in the race. It was a tiresome race, but we were giving it everything we had. We had exerted so much energy until we both had to dive across the finish line. In the vision, God was revealing critical information. However, before we delve into this particular information, it is needful for us to understand what kind of race this actually is. In scripture the life of the believer is described in many ways, because Jesus used many parables when teaching His followers. Paul described the life of the believer two ways being a race (see 2Timothy 4:7-8, Hebrews 12:1) or a fight (Ephesians 6:12, Jude 1:3). It is important for us to know that regardless of the symbolism, there is spiritual meaning. In Jude 1:3, Jude warns to Christians put contend for the faith. He is urging for them to put up a spiritual fight against the sins and heresies that were prevalent in his day.
Paul says in Ephesians 6:12 (KJV), “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Paul is describing a fight against spiritual forces of darkness, and he concludes that God has given us spiritual armour to stand against the spiritual forces of darkness (See Ephesians 6:13-19). He also speaks of the spiritual weapons needed for the warfare we face in 2 Corinthians 10:4 where he says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” Paul was explaining to the church in Corinth that the fight was not physical but spiritual. The same is true concerning the race. The race that is set before us is a spiritual race.
Revelation of the Dream
The dream represents God’s desire for sinners to come to Him, and it is a reminder to believers to finish the race. It is God’s desire to save sinners from sin and the penalty thereof. Some of the people that God wants to save are the worst of sinners, and it is critical that those of us in the church are in the Spirit. We must operate in the Spirit of God, in that we don’t want anyone to die and go to hell. We must walk in the Spirit of God so that we will desire all to come to repentance. Peter said in 2 Peter 3:9 KJV, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” It is imperative that the church runs with patience the race that is set before us. The writer says in Hebrews 12: 1 (KJV), “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with a great cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.”
We must run with patience. We must invite sinners to enter the race by running after Jesus and turning away from sin. We must be patient and kind with people who come to God. It is God who was kind and patient with us when we were in sin, and with His lovingkindness he drew us unto Himself (See Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). Let go of the signs and weights that keep us from moving forward in this race. Don’t desire to see someone fall. Live a holy life and be set apart for God. Encourage people to follow Jesus and live holy and separate lives in God.
Ask God for the Holy Spirit
Ask God to fill you with His Spirit in Jesus name, and He will give you the Holy Spirit (see Luke 11:13). It is important that we are filled with the Holy Spirit to run this race. We need to be filled with the Spirit of God, because He produces in us the fruits of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith, and meekness, and temperance (see (Galatians 5: 22-25 KJV). The Holy Spirit is the one who causes us to be loving, kind, and patient. Being filled with the Spirit of God gives us power to be effective in ministry. He causes us to witness the gospel of Jesus Christ with power and effectiveness. He causes us to bear the fruit needed to run the race and effectively witness.
Zerubbabel was an Israelite prince during the days of the prophet Zechariah, and God wanted Zerubbabel to rebuild the temple. However, God commanded Zechariah to tell Zerubbabel, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit saith the LORD of hosts” (see Zechariah 4:6 KJV). It is my duty to warn you that you can’t win this race with the strength of mighty men. You won’t win this race with manpower and strength. Only the Spirit of God can supply the spiritual necessities that we need to finish this spiritual race that has been set before us. It is with lovingkindness that the Lord Jesus Christ is inviting you to join the race today.. However it is only fair that I warn you that there will be pain in this race.
Pain and Suffering
In 2Timothy 3:12, Paul teaches the young Apostle Timothy “Yea, and they that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” (KJV). Many will hate and despise you for following Jesus. They will shun you for turning away from your sins. You will suffer for joining this race. Our Lord and Saviour was beaten all night long with a Roman scourge and crucified on a cross. Many of His apostles and disciples were beaten, stoned, burned alive, hanged on a tree, executed as a result of joining this particular race. Just as they have suffered, we too will suffer for partaking in this amazing race. If you have not already, I invite you to join the race. Join quickly! Repent and believe for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Jesus Christ our Lord warned the church in Sardis, “Remember therefore how thou hast received, and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I come upon thee.” In Revelation 22:12, Jesus tells the Apostle John ”And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
REPENT And Join the Race
I urge you to repent and believe quickly. Join the race quickly. The Lord is coming quickly. No man knows the day or the hour, but he promised that he was coming back quickly. Those who have not joined and those who have not finished the race will be judged, condemned, and sentenced to eternal fire. I urge you to join the race that has been set before us. I urge you that having your name on a church roll and paying tithes does not mean that you have joined the race. In the race, you must love the LORD thy God with all of your strength, all of your mind, with all of your strength, and with all of your soul (see Matthew 22:37, Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV). In this race, you must render unto the Lord Jesus Christ your total being body, soul, and spirit. It’s tiresome! It’s rough! It’s tough! You’re going to suffer. In 2007, the late Bishop Jesse Delano Ellis reminded the saints that, “This is a suffering way!”
If we are willing to follow, run, and seek after Jesus; If we are willing forsake the life of sin; If we are willing to suffer for Jesus Christ and His Gospel truth; Paul says to Timothy, “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” (2Timothy 4:8 KJV). There is a crown of righteousness waiting for us who finish the race that has been set before us. The righteous judge will give us crowns of righteousness. I urge you to REPENT. I urge you to apologize to God in the name of Jesus the Christ, and turn away from your life of sin. Forsake your sinful behavior. I urge you to repent and believe on Jesus Christ who is able to preserve our souls unto eternity and reward us with crowns of righteousness. One day the race will be over. I urge you to REPENT, believe and run for your life; because eternity depends on it. Jesus says in Revelation 3:11, “Behold, I come quickly, hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Let us REPENT! Let us BELIEVE on Jesus Christ to the glory of God the Father! And let us RUN this race this race that has been set before us.
Let us pray,
Heavenly Father, help us to realize the race that has been set before us. Help us to run after you with all our hearts, minds, strength, and souls. Father God, I apologize for all of the sins and offenses that I have committed against you. I am ready to forsake all and follow you. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life to the glory of God the Father. Heavenly Father, I believe in my heart that Jesus died, and you raised him from the dead to save me from my sins and the punishment of hell. I ask that you keep me and fill me with the Holy Spirit now and forever. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen,
