The Anointing of Unity
The word lets us know that it is the anointing that destroys the yoke of captivity and bondage.
The word anointing means to be chosen by God.
How does one know if they are anointed or chosen by God
Your anointing is measured by your fruitfulness and your own crushing,
Like the crushing of our pride when we realize that there is no amount righteousness that we can do to cleanse us from the stain that sin left on us;
The crushing of knowing that Jesus had to be crushed so that righteousness could be possible for us;
Like the crushing of submitting to God’s will,
The crushing of being virtuous in a day of lawlessness,
The crushing of embracing rebuke and correction with tears and humility.
This anointing was not intended to be used for the saints to crush each other.
Our anointing is to love and edify one another, but at the same time, it should be used to war against the real enemy of our souls, that wicked accuser who tempts us to hate one another.
God hates friendly fire among his children.
That’s why the Messiah said in Matthew 18:7 KJV,
“Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!”
It is just as bad for a man to be offended by everything and everyone under the sun.
It’s the evidence of pride and self righteousness coming to the surface.
Let it not be so among us.
But let the fruit of the Holy Spirit bear witness among us,
That we love and wait patiently;
That we are gentle and suffer long;
That we quickly give the forgiveness that we so desperately need to receive;
That we wish no harm to and count no harm done by our Father’s daughters and sons;
But we hope and pray God’s best for them,
Even the prayer of his only begotten Son in John 17:21-23 KJV,
“…That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
