One or the Other: Palestine or Israel?
I guess if I were to choose one; I suppose I must weigh the pros and cons of each one.
One was displaced and scattered across the globe, because they gave their hearts to their heritage and religious tradition. And they left their God alone.
The other proselytized themselves into the ancient religion that was stripped from the ones aforementioned. But they too left God for the tradition of men.
One fled south from the land of Israel, because their precious Jerusalem was trodden down by strangers from the north.
The other was the stranger from the north.
One has a case of a forgotten identity; an amnesia that can only be cured by Yah’s prescription.
The other has a case of new found identity, but has a case of blinded vision.
For a people without a vision will perish, because they plague their neighbors, spread derision and division.
One saw the Galilean prophet, and they demanded that he be crucified.
And the hands of the other carried out his homicide.
Little did they both know that heaven bore record of the day when the God-Man passed away.
You see, one was punished through worldwide slavery and hanged on trees.
The other was punished in the land from whence they came in concentration camps and gas machines.
One was; the other one is, in that land of course.
One fights and kills for their homeland.
The other fights and kills for their newfound land
The only question is “Which one is right?”
All over the world, humanity is choosing one side or the other.
But who is deserving of Jerusalem, our dear Mother?
The truth is that neither one nor the other deserves the Mother if they reject her Son.
You see, she is the city of Peace.
But her Son, that Galilean prophet who was hanged on a tree, is the Prince of Peace.
Unless the Prince of Peace is King of Israel, both sides are robbers and thieves.
Until then and only then, I only have one reprieve.
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord!”
