#7 Messiah the King of Kings

In the second chapter of Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, was anxious about a dream he had seen the night before, and he called in all of the wise men of his empire, asking them to reveal the dream and its meaning. The wisemen promised the king that they would be able to interpret the dream if he told him what the dream was, but the king could not. The king also decreed that he would destroy the wisemen if they could not reveal the dream and interpret the dream. When Daniel was notified of the decree, he petitioned his supervisors to speak to the king. Daniel and his comrades, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, prayed to God that he would reveal the dream to them so that they would not be destroyed with the wisemen of Babylon. God revealed to Daniel the dream and its meaning. In Daniel 2: 31-45, Daniel speaks these words to the king:

31Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. 32This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, 33his legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. 34Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. 35Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. 36This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. 37Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. 38And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. 39And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. 40And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. 41And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. 42And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. 43And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. 44And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. 45Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.             In this passage, Daniel explained to Nebuchadnezzar, the king and emperor of Babylon, that the dream he saw was from God and that God was showing the king what would happen in the future (see Daniel 2: 27-28). Something we should also notice about this passage is that Daniel refers to king Nebuchadnezzar as “a king of kings,” and that simply means that he was a king that rules other kings. He was the ruler of a worldwide empire. Furthermore, Daniel revealed to king Nebuchadnezzar that there will be three more worldwide kingdoms that will follow when his reign as king is over, and each of these empires would be ruled by kings of kings. These kingdoms were symbolized by different metals including gold, silver, brass, iron, and clay 9 (see Daniel 2: 37- 43). Finally, king Nebuchadnezzar’s dream revealed that there would be a kingdom that will break in pieces all the other preceding kingdoms. This prophecy was symbolized by a stone that was cut out of a mountain without hands, and that stone will break in pieces all the different metals that were shown in the dream. As Christians, we believe the Messiah to be that stone that was cut out of the mountain without hands, who break the other kingdoms in pieces, and his kingdom will never come to an end (see Daniel 2: 44-45).

·      Man’s aspiration to become a king of kings has always existed in humanity. We now know that the empires that Daniel foretold were coming were those such as: the Babylonian Empire, the Medes and Persian Empire, the Grecian Empire, and the Roman Empire. Throughout history, we see kings and kingdoms attempting to usurp authority over other authorities and kingdoms. To be frank, there is evidence of this in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

·      In Ezra 7:12 KJV, Ezra writes that Artaxerxes is a king of kings saying, “Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.

·      In Ezekiel 26:7 KJV, the prophet Ezekiel foretells of the coming of Nebuchadnezzar, who would be recognized as a king of kings, saying, “For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.”

·      While man is constantly on a quest to rule and even super rule, The apostle John lets us know in Revelation 17:14 KJV, that the Messiah is the one who will ultimately rule and super rule saying, “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” This verse lets us know that the kings of this world will wage a war on the true Lord of lords and King of kings, and they will lose miserably.

The book of Revelation was written by the apostle John under the specific instruction of Jesus Christ. Here what John writes of Jesus Christ in Revelation 1: 1-8:

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.4John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.(KJV)

We can not overlook that John wrote “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.” In this Revelation of Jesus Christ, we find the verses claiming that Jesus Christ is Lord of lords and King of kings (Rev. 17:14; Rev. 19:16). Jesus is prophet, high priest, and king. Not only is he king, but he is the King of kings. Just as we have discovered that the previous Messianic Truths hold consistency throughout the Old Testament and New Testament scriptures, we can also verify the reality that the Messiah is the King of kings is also recurring theme throughout the Old Testament and New Testament scriptures. This Messianic Truth also abides within the Rule of Prophecy that has been mentioned throughout this book. Let’s start with the beginning.

·      In Genesis 22: 18, the prophet Moses wrote about a promise that God made to the prophet Abraham saying, “and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. This prophecy aligns with the title of the Christ being the Seed and the King of kings, in that it is through The King of kings that the nations of the earth are blessed. For example, the prophet Daniel interpreted a dream of how Nebuchadnezzar, a king of kings during his reign as the emperor of Babylon, was a large tree who was able to feed all the nations of the earth (see Daniel 4: 19-22). Nebuchadnezzar was a king of kings, but Jesus the Christ is the King of kings, and it is through Jesus Christ that all the nations of the earth will be blessed perpetually as God promised to Abraham in Genesis 22:18.

·      The prophet Moses also wrote a prophecy/promise in Exodus 19:6 that closely aligns with the prophecy that was given to Abraham in Genesis 22:18 saying, “And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. In this verse, God shares with Moses his vision of the Children of Israel being a kingdom of priests and a holy nation unto Him. This means that God has always envisioned his people as those who would be a sanctified/separated people, a holy people, unto him who worshipped him as their King. This was God’s vision for the Children of Israel. According to the evidence revealed to us in the book of Revelation, this is also God’s vision for the Body of Christ, that we would be a holy nation unto him, and he would reign as the King of kings (see Rev. 1:1-8, Rev. 17:14; Rev. 19:16).

In Psalm 2:6-12, the prophet and king David, recognized the Messiah as one who is the Son of God, and he also recognized him as a king who would judge the kings and the judges of the earth. And this passage reads as follows:

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. [7] I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. [8] Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. [9] Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. [10] Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. [11] Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. [12] Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. (KJV)

·      In Psalm 10:16 KJV, David recognized God as King forever saying, “The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.”

·      In Psalm 22:28 KJV, David recognized as King of kings who is the governor of the nations saying, “For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.”

·      In Psalm 24:7-10 KJV, Davide exhorts the people saying, “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. [8] Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. [9] Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. [10] Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.” David called God the LORD of hosts, the host (the angel armies) of heaven and the King of glory

·      In Psalm 29:10 KJV, David wrote that God would be established as the king forever in his throne saying, “The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.”

·      Again, David described how the throne of God would be forever in Psalm 45:6 KJV, saying “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

·      In Psalm 89:3-4 KJV, the psalmist, Ethan the Ezrathite wrote one of the prophecies of God saying, “I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, [4] Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.” In this prophetic psalm, includes God’s promise to David that his seed will be established on an everlasting throne.

·      In 1 Chronicles 17:11-14, the prophet Nathan encouraged king David with these words from the Lord saying:

And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. [12] He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. [13] I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: [14] But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore. (KJV)

            As mentioned before, there have always been earthly kings with the desire to rule other earthly kings, establishing themselves as a king of kings. The prophet Daniel was one who told Nebuchadnezzar, a king of kings in his own right, emperor of the Babylonian Empire, that God himself will establish a kingdom in the earth that will destroy all of the preceding kingdoms and empires, and his kingdom will never be destroyed. In Daniel 2: 44 (KJV), Daniel said to king Nebuchadnezzar, “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” Daniel affirmed this revelation again in Daniel 7: 13-14 when he describes the Messiah as the Son of Man saying:

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (KJV)

·      In Matthew 16:28 KJV, Jesus referred to himself as the Son of Man often, but he also referred to his coming kingdom when he said, “Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.”

·      There were many people who believed Jesus was the promised Son of David who would sit on the throne of David forever in the kingdom of Israel. Mark 11:10 KJV, provides evidence of this truth saying, “Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. Luke 19: 37-40 also gives an eyewitness account of how people spoke of Jesus as the coming King saying:

Luke 19:37-40 KJV And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; [38] Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. [39] And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. [40] And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

·      The Bible says in John 1:49 KJV, Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.” In this moment Nathaniel recognized Jesus as the Messiah who would be the eternal king of Israel. This must have been Nathaniel’s reasoning when he said this because Herod Antipas was the king of Israel during the three years of Jesus’s ministry and six years after Jesus’s death and resurrection. Therefore, Nathaniel must have been recognizing Jesus as the Messiah, the promised coming King of Israel.

·      In Zechariah 9:9 KJV, God provided the prophet Zechariah a sign of the coming Messiah and King of Israel saying, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.” The sign is that the King would come into the city of Jerusalem riding on an ass, and upon the foal of an ass. This means that the king would enter the city of Jerusalem on an ass/donkey that had never been ridden before. This prophecy was fulfilled in the life of Jesus the Christ in John 12: 11-15 where it is written as follows:

11Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus. [12] On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, [13] Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. [14] And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, [15] Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. (KJV)

In 1Timothy 6:13-16, Paul gave instruction to young Timothy concerning how he should teach and live godliness and contentment, knowing that Jesus Christ, the only Potentate, the King of kings, the Lord of lords is sure to appear and rule with everlasting power and dominion. The passage reads as follows:

I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 14That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:15Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Paul wrote his second letter to Timothy, knowing that his execution was drawing near, he wrote about the hope that Christ will deliver him from every evil work and that he has a place in the Lord’s heavenly kingdom. In 2 Timothy 4:18 KJV, Paul said, “And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

As mentioned before, it has always been man’s desire to rule. Hence, we have kings. Not only has man always desired to rule, but man has always desired to rule rulers. In man’s quest to rule and super rule, he is has always had to impose his rule through war. However, the apostle John reveals to us a mystery Revelation 17:14, concerning the Messiah saying, “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” John tells of a day when man will try to impose his will upon the Messiah through war, but the Lamb will overcome them. Because he is the Lord of lords and King of kings. It is interesting that John calls the Lamb the Lord of lords and King of kings, because lambs are not usually seen as rulers. Lambs are docile creatures, who are usually ruled, guided, shepherded and protected. In fact, the apostle John tells us that the Messiah was “…the Lamb who was slain before the foundations of the world” (Rev. 13:8 KJV).

John wrote that Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundations of the world, because this was God’s plan to save mankind from the beginning. However, the reality that the Messiah would be the Lamb, and the King of kings and lord of lords is countercultural to what we think about leadership today. Leaders tend to assert their authority over others making them their subjects. Leaders of the world today would never choose to die to save their enemies, people who had forsaken their kingdom. Yet, Jesus, in his first advent (entrance into the world) chose to die as a Lamb, even the Lamb of God, to take away the sins of the world (see John 1:29). Those who trust in him become kings and priest unto God our Father (see Revelation 1:6). Remember, Revelation 17:4 said that the kings of the earth would wage war on the Lamb. Ultimately, there will be a war between the kings of the earth and the King of heaven. The kings of the earth are the oppressors that they have always been, and the Lamb is one who will make his citizens kings and priests unto God our Father. In essence, there will be a war between the oppressors of the earth and mankind against the Liberator who will come and redeem earth and mankind. Jesus Christ is the great Liberator, the Lamb of God, Lord of lords, King of kings, will smite the nations of the earth with a rod of iron, and he will establish his kingdom in the earth, one of holiness and peace. The conclusion of whole matter is that Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Revelation 19:16 says, “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Let us pray,

Heavenly Father, thank you for being and all-seeing and all-knowing God. Thank you, because you had a plan to rescue humanity from the beginning. We believe that your Son, Jesus, lived a perfect life. We believe that he died for our sins. We believe that you raised him from the dead with all power in his hands, even the power to make us the children of God. We praise you for your providence and the Messianic prophecies that you gave us so that we can be sure that Jesus is the Christ, the Som of the only living God, Yahweh. Because of the Messianic prophecies you have given us, we believe and are sure that your Son, Jesus the Christ is the coming King of Kings.  In the name of Jesus Christ, your only begotten Son, Amen.

بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ بننے کی انسان کی تمنا ہمیشہ انسانیت میں موجود رہی ہے۔ اب ہم جانتے ہیں کہ جن سلطنتوں کی ڈینیئل نے پیشین گوئی کی تھی وہ آنے والی تھیں جیسے: بابلی سلطنت، میڈیس اور فارسی سلطنت، یونانی سلطنت، اور رومی سلطنت۔ پوری تاریخ میں، ہم بادشاہوں اور سلطنتوں کو دوسرے حکام اور سلطنتوں پر اختیار ہتھیانے کی کوشش کرتے دیکھتے ہیں۔ واضح طور پر، بائبل میں پیدائش سے مکاشفہ تک اس کا ثبوت موجود ہے۔

جبکہ انسان مسلسل حکمرانی کرنے اور یہاں تک کہ اعلیٰ حکمرانی کی جستجو میں ہے، یوحنا رسول ہمیں مکاشفہ 17:14 KJV میں بتاتا ہے، کہ مسیح وہی ہے جو بالآخر حکومت کرے گا اور یہ کہتے ہوئے کہ سپر حکمرانی کرے گا، "یہ برّہ کے ساتھ جنگ ​​کریں گے، اور برہ اُن پر غالب آئے گا: کیونکہ وہ خُداوندوں کا رب ہے، اور اُس کے ساتھ بادشاہ کہا جاتا ہے، اور اُس کے چنے ہوئے بادشاہ ہیں۔ وفادار." یہ آیت ہمیں بتاتی ہے کہ اس دنیا کے بادشاہ حقیقی رب العالمین اور بادشاہوں کے بادشاہ سے جنگ کریں گے اور وہ بری طرح ہاریں گے۔

مکاشفہ کی کتاب یوحنا رسول نے یسوع مسیح کی مخصوص ہدایات کے تحت لکھی تھی۔ یوحنا یسوع مسیح کے بارے میں مکاشفہ 1: 1-8 میں جو لکھتا ہے وہ یہاں ہے:

ہم اس بات کو نظر انداز نہیں کر سکتے کہ یوحنا نے لکھا "یسوع مسیح کا مکاشفہ، جو خُدا نے اُسے دیا، تاکہ اپنے بندوں کو وہ چیزیں دکھائے جو جلد ہی ہونے والی ہیں۔ اور اس نے اپنے فرشتے کے ذریعہ اپنے خادم یوحنا کے پاس بھیج کر اس کی نشاندہی کی۔ یسوع مسیح کے اس مکاشفہ میں، ہمیں وہ آیات ملتی ہیں جو یہ دعویٰ کرتی ہیں کہ یسوع مسیح ربوں کا رب اور بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ ہے (مکاشفہ 17:14؛ Rev. 19:16)۔ یسوع نبی، سردار کاہن، اور بادشاہ ہے۔ وہ نہ صرف بادشاہ ہے بلکہ وہ بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ ہے۔ جس طرح ہم نے دریافت کیا ہے کہ پچھلی مسیحی سچائیاں عہد نامہ قدیم اور نئے عہد نامہ کے صحیفوں میں مستقل مزاجی رکھتی ہیں، اسی طرح ہم اس حقیقت کی بھی تصدیق کر سکتے ہیں کہ مسیحا بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ ہے بھی عہد نامہ قدیم اور نئے عہد نامہ کے صحیفوں میں بار بار چلنے والی تھیم ہے۔ یہ مسیحی سچائی نبوت کے اصول کے اندر بھی قائم ہے جس کا اس کتاب میں ذکر کیا گیا ہے۔ آئیے آغاز کے ساتھ شروع کریں۔

·      پیدائش 22:18 میں، موسیٰ نبی نے ایک وعدے کے بارے میں لکھا جو خدا نے نبی ابراہیم سے کیا تھا، "اور تیری نسل سے زمین کی تمام قومیں برکت پائیں گی۔ کیونکہ تم نے میری بات مانی ہے۔ یہ پیشینگوئی مسیح کی نسل اور بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ ہونے کے لقب سے مطابقت رکھتی ہے، کیونکہ یہ بادشاہوں کے بادشاہ کے ذریعے ہے کہ زمین کی قومیں برکت پاتی ہیں۔ مثال کے طور پر، دانیال نبی نے ایک خواب کی تعبیر کی کہ کس طرح بابل کے شہنشاہ کے طور پر اپنے دور حکومت میں بادشاہوں کا ایک بادشاہ نبوکدنضر ایک بڑا درخت تھا جو زمین کی تمام قوموں کو کھانا کھلانے کے قابل تھا (دیکھیں دانیال 4:19-22)۔ نبوکدنضر بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ تھا، لیکن یسوع مسیح بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ ہے، اور یہ یسوع مسیح کے ذریعے ہی ہے کہ زمین کی تمام قوموں کو ہمیشہ کے لیے برکت ملے گی جیسا کہ خدا نے پیدائش 22:18 میں ابراہیم سے وعدہ کیا تھا۔

حضرت موسیٰ نے خروج 19:6 میں ایک پیشین گوئی/وعدہ بھی لکھا جو اس پیشینگوئی کے ساتھ قریب سے مطابقت رکھتا ہے جو کہ پیدائش 22:18 میں ابراہیم کو دی گئی تھی، "اور تم میرے لیے کاہنوں کی بادشاہی، اور ایک مقدس قوم ہو گے۔ یہ وہ باتیں ہیں جو تُو بنی اسرائیل سے کہے گی۔ اس آیت میں، خدا نے موسیٰ کے ساتھ بنی اسرائیل کے پادریوں کی بادشاہی اور اس کے لیے ایک مقدس قوم ہونے کے بارے میں اپنا خواب بیان کیا ہے۔ اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ خدا نے ہمیشہ اپنے لوگوں کو ان لوگوں کے طور پر تصور کیا ہے جو ایک مقدس/علیحدہ لوگ ہوں گے، ایک مقدس لوگ ہوں گے، اس کے لیے جو اس کی پرستش کرتے تھے اپنے بادشاہ کے طور پر۔ یہ بنی اسرائیل کے لیے خدا کا خواب تھا۔ مکاشفہ کی کتاب میں ہمارے سامنے آنے والے شواہد کے مطابق، یہ بھی مسیح کے جسم کے لیے خُدا کا وژن ہے، کہ ہم اُس کے لیے ایک مقدس قوم ہوں گے، اور وہ بادشاہوں کے بادشاہ کے طور پر حکومت کرے گا (ملاحظہ کریں Rev. 1:1-8، Rev. 17:14؛ Rev. 19:16)۔

·      بہت سے لوگ تھے جو مانتے تھے کہ عیسیٰ داؤد کا وعدہ کیا ہوا بیٹا ہے جو اسرائیل کی بادشاہی میں ہمیشہ کے لیے داؤد کے تخت پر بیٹھے گا۔ مرقس 11:10 KJV، اس سچائی کا ثبوت پیش کرتا ہے کہ، "مبارک ہو ہمارے باپ داؤد کی بادشاہی، جو خداوند کے نام پر آتی ہے: اعلیٰ ترین میں حسننا۔ لوقا 19: 37-40 بھی ایک عینی شاہد کا بیان دیتا ہے کہ لوگوں نے یسوع کو آنے والے بادشاہ کے طور پر کیسے کہا:

·      بائبل یوحنا 1:49 KJV میں کہتی ہے، نتن ایل نے جواب دیا اور اسے کہا، ربی، آپ خدا کے بیٹے ہیں؛ تم اسرائیل کے بادشاہ ہو۔" اس لمحے میں نتھنیئل نے یسوع کو مسیحا کے طور پر پہچان لیا جو اسرائیل کا ابدی بادشاہ ہوگا۔ نتھنیئل کا یہ استدلال ضرور تھا جب اس نے یہ کہا کیونکہ ہیروڈ انٹیپاس یسوع کی وزارت کے تین سال اور یسوع کی موت اور جی اٹھنے کے چھ سال بعد اسرائیل کا بادشاہ تھا۔ لہٰذا، نتھنیئل یسوع کو مسیحا کے طور پر تسلیم کرتے رہے ہوں گے، جو اسرائیل کا وعدہ کیا ہوا بادشاہ تھا۔

·      زکریاہ 9:9 KJV میں، خُدا نے زکریا نبی کو آنے والے مسیحا اور اسرائیل کے بادشاہ کا یہ کہتے ہوئے ایک نشان فراہم کیا، "اے صیون کی بیٹی، بہت خوش ہو؛ اے یروشلم کی بیٹی، پکارو، دیکھ تیرا بادشاہ تیرے پاس آتا ہے، وہ راستباز اور نجات پانے والا ہے۔ پست، اور گدھے پر سوار، اور گدھے کے بچے پر سوار۔" نشانی یہ ہے کہ بادشاہ یروشلم کے شہر میں ایک گدھے پر سوار ہو کر اور گدھے کے بچھڑے پر آئے گا۔ اس کا مطلب ہے کہ بادشاہ یروشلم کے شہر میں ایک گدھے/گدھے پر سوار ہو گا جس پر پہلے کبھی سوار نہیں ہوا تھا۔ یہ پیشینگوئی یسوع مسیح کی زندگی میں یوحنا 12:11-15 میں پوری ہوئی جہاں یہ درج ذیل ہے:

1 تیمتھیس 6: 13-16 میں، پولس نے نوجوان تیمتھیس کو ہدایت دی کہ اسے کس طرح دینداری اور قناعت کی تعلیم اور زندگی گزارنی چاہئے، یہ جانتے ہوئے کہ یسوع مسیح، واحد طاقتور، بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ، ربوں کا خداوند یقینی طور پر ظاہر ہوگا اور ابدی طاقت اور غلبہ کے ساتھ حکومت کرے گا۔ عبارت درج ذیل ہے:

پولس نے تیمتھیس کو اپنا دوسرا خط لکھا، یہ جانتے ہوئے کہ اس کی سزائے موت قریب آ رہی ہے، اس نے اس امید کے بارے میں لکھا کہ مسیح اسے ہر برے کام سے نجات دلائے گا اور یہ کہ اس کا خُداوند کی آسمانی بادشاہی میں جگہ ہے۔ 2 تیمتھیس 4:18 KJV میں، پولس نے کہا، "اور خُداوند مجھے ہر برے کام سے بچائے گا، اور اپنی آسمانی بادشاہی میں مجھے محفوظ رکھے گا: جس کی ابد تک جلال ہو۔ آمین۔"
