Hold My Hand

You hold my hand,
Knowing that I’m able to make you stand.
Still holding my hand, you panicked; startled by distractions,
Kicking, scratching, thrashing;
Wondering what’s happening,
Scared that I won’t bring you safely through.
Be still my child and wholly cling.
I know the ending from the beginning.
Only believe that I have a plan.
Always pray because I know the way.
I am here.
Here, you are safe;
Pace by pace;
Hand in hand
In the end, you will be glad you stayed.
In Jesus’s name, Amen
