Please pray with me for the lives of those on death row.

Heavenly Father,
I pray for Phillip Hancock and his family. We are all gathered here to show our support, asking that you will intervene so that government-sanctioned murder will come to an end. We ask that you change the hearts of the governors and those in power so that they will explore other forms of justice, because this is not justice. This is injustice. You have said in your word “Thou shalt not kill.” Your word has always been true, and it will always be true. Many claim to be pro-life, but they are negligent when it comes to the injustice of mass incarceration and government sanctioned executions. Forgive us for our hypocrisy. In his greatest moment of anguish on death row, your son Jesus said, “Father forgive them. For they know not what they do.”
We pray the same for those who continue this form of oppression and injustice. “Father forgive them. For they know not what they do.” Let Phillip and all those on death row feel your comfort and love. Father, have mercy. Have mercy on all the souls involved in this terrible crisis. Have mercy on the offender. Have mercy on the victim, because at some point in all of our lives we have been both. Have mercy on Phillip. Have mercy on all those on death row. Have mercy on us. Help us to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with you my Lord and my God. In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.

Man can’t give life. He has no right to take it. Our lives are a gift from God. He is the supreme ruler. How can we think this is justifiable when we sin daily without knowing? We all fall short of His glory. Why aren’t we being judged & persecuted for our wrong? Is it bc it appears our wrongdoing is less than the wrongdoing of Brother Philip? Sin is sin. Wrong is wrong. Let God be the judge of us, not man. For the day is coming that even the proclaimed self righteous will be found guilty before Our King. God bless the late Brother Phillip & his family! Beautiful share & prayer Doc!
